.Heart Attack.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

So, a while back someone heart attacked Sister Jayne...
It didn't take her very long to figure it out, coz im the only one with a car!!! Morgan, Bek and I thought we were so sneaky! We even did some comando rolls on the grass (but it turned out she was at work haha) ...
We stuck over 300 hearts on scewers into her lawn, and around 200 big hearts onto the outside of her house... We stuck them on the basketball hoop, the pavement... We were even let inside by Scott and Georgia and even scattered heaps all over her bed and stuck them everywhere, including her mirror, the walls, everywhere =) We also left some brownies on her bedside table (although they were packed mix coz our homemade ones were horrible!) lol...
Needless to say Jayne got a very pleasant surprise when she got home from work =)

We just wanted to let her know that she is loved! =) Sister Jayne is wonder woman i swear! She works, she is our young womens president, and she's always prepared for our lessons, our mutuals, everything! She even brings along treats and she really cares about us... This woman will wait up until 12:01 on a Sunday night to take us to a 24 hour shop to get some ice cream... She treats you to maccas every night of convention and sings along to Taylor Swift with you in the car! She is great and we love her! ...
Anyone who is not in Deloraine Young Womens is missing out! =P

Georgia, Morgan and I,
And the big hearts we stuck outside

.Baby Brother.

Friday, July 24, 2009

Well, as mum is about 19 weeks pregnant she went for a scan (It was actually her second scan already because of what happened with Jory they wanted to keep an eye on things)...
But this time we could find out the sex of the baby (I refrain from using the word Gender, because as i have learnt in Sociology recently it means something entirely different) ...

Anwyay, mum was thinking she would keep this baby a surprise, as she had never done that with anyone else, BUT she was way too excited and just had to find out! Haha...

Mum's friend, Maree was the one who did the scan as she is a radiographer, which was exciting as she gave us some extra copies of the pictures, one for me and one for Morgan... (I felt like i was a little kid again being handed my own copy!) Haha...
Anyway, i tried to scan the picture onto the home computer, but it didn't work, so i just took a photo of it and put it on here...

He is baby number five, and it is going to be a little scary having five kids in the house, but i guess it is good practice for me as i want seven haha.
We aren't sure what this baby will look like as all four of us so far are completely different, and we aren't sure how he will fit into our family, but that's what we felt like with Jory, and our family wouldn't be the same without him...

This is my new little brother!!!

Isn't he cute?! =P

Welcome to the family, baby =)

.Studying & Crash Bandicoot.

Well well well... I have exams starting next week, and I have been trying to study. Yes, trying is the opperative word there haha...
Sociology is on Monday, only a two hour exam, though i wish it was three as i really need ages to write three short part answers and an essay! lol.
I was trying to study the other night, but extreme urges to play Crash Bandicoot kept re surfacing!! I couldn't shake them so in the end i gave and thought to myself, i will play one level and one level only... (I need a time limit as i become adicted and once played for six hours straight!) , Which caused mum to threaten to smash my Play Station lol. I now know why i wasn't allowed one until i was 16, almost 17!!! Hahaha...
I did only play one level then decided to get back to my studying...

Can you see why studying is not appealing?...

This pile of books would put anyone off!!

Ah, Sociology... Lucky it is my favourite subject...

Very intense Crash Bandicoot...

.Kayaking.

So, we think dad might be going through a mid life crisis (although he is only 34)... Firstly he bought a ducati, then surprised us with a kayak!
We took it up to the meander dam a while back when it was warm and tested it out...
Jory loved it... Not when i took him though! He kept leaning over to put his hand in the water, and i was getting scared because i thought it might tip the kayak over, and i REALLY didn't want
to fall in! SO, to solve this little problem i told him there were sharks in the dam, which backfired on me as he bacame really scared and rocked the kayak more lol! I then told him the truth and he calmed down again, although he did keep asking me "Are you really sure there are no sharks in here?" Hahaha I'm a mean big sister! lol...
It was good to go up there and test it out and relax! Dad loved it so much he is looking into buying two more kayaks (oh boy!) Hahaha.

Jor thought he was pretty cool out there on his own!

.The Shack.

Thursday, July 23, 2009

Every year we head down to nana & grandad's shack at St Helen's...It's fairly cheap and gives us a good chance to get away as we usually go down a few days after Christmas... The shack has enough room for all of us and is only about a hundred metre walk from the beach. We stay there for about two weeks. The park is as close as the beach is, and we often walk down there to let the boys play. Here is all four of us together at the park... Next year when we go we will have another child with us! A little baby boy! He is due on the 10th of December but mum will be having him on the 7th. We can't wait for him to be born! =)

.The Ball.

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Yeah yeah i know im slack!
WAAAAY back in May, we had our St Patrick's College Senior Ball... It was held at The Albert Hall, or as it was known for the night, The Albert Castle... The theme for the night was haunted mansion, which was cool as there were really interesting decorations all around the hall, which included; broomsticks and bats hanging everywhere, random rats, cobwebs EVERYWHERE, and some coffins with bodies in them on the stage...
We danced away the night to the music of Dracula Dan, who as well as providing great dance music, had a bubble machine!!! (Which turned out to be the most exciting thing the whole night =P)
I went with Jim Handly, Erin and Matt, Beth and Jamie. We all went together in limo, which was pretty exciting... It picked us up after two pre ball drinks parties, and took us to the ball. On the way we had some Maison, which the boys were pretty excited about, and then i told them it was non alcoholic! The look on their face= priceless!
After the ball we went to my friend Eve's house and stayed til about 2-ish. After which we grabbed some ice cream and headed to my friend Jasmine's where we zonked out. It was a pretty fun night with lots of dancing and photos =) The sad part was the photographer had a problem with her camera and the professional ones turned out funny, but mum and I got lots with our own cameras =)

.Jory & Strawberries.

Friday, July 17, 2009

The other night, mum told us kids to all to do our jobs... When i turned around Jory was missing, i wondered where he had snuck off to...
I didn't have to look very far... Jory was in mum and dad's bedroom, he had dragged a little arm chair in there, and gotten a bowl of strawberries. He was watching some cartoons, and was very relaxed...
So, i snuck in and took some pictures =P He was too interested in the show to look at the camera.
He had only just lost his top front tooth the night before, he looks so cute!

Yummy strawberries...

He wouldn't even take his eyes off the tv for a second! Here i have jumped in front of his face, he agreed to smile but kept saying "Move Makayla, I wana watch this" ... Hahaha

.Book of Mormon.

Sunday, July 12, 2009

In Young Womens we have a thing called Personal Progress. It consists of eight values that we should strive to develop and complete before we finish the Young Womens program. There are 6 activities plus a ten hour project for each one. For the value of Virtue, the ten hour project is to read the entire Book of Mormon. We have all been reading it lately, but to encourage us to read it even more, and to not be "scared" to take it to school at Young Womens one night we were given a small Book of Mormon, and were able to cover it in pretty material =)
They all turned out fantastic, and they are small enough to fit in a hand bag, and light enough to go into a school bag, Ready to be whipped out at any point whilst waiting for parents or a bus...
They are very handy, and so cute that people will always ask you what you are reading, providing you with the perfect opening to explain =)
We loved making them, and they turned out well. This is mine;

Thanks to Sister Jayne and Sister Louise for helping us to make them =D

.Monster Challenge.

Friday night all the youth from church were invited to a "Monster Challenge" , We were all extremely excited thanks to the awesome posters up everywhere, although we weren't exactly sure what for as it was all very hush hush...
We all turned up in our running shoes and were divided into teams... We then competed against each other in a series of challenges, which consisted of;
A late to Seminary race where you had to get dressed up, skip some rope and play a little basketball, a trivia game where you ran to be the first person to answer a question, a dry wheet bix eating competition, a blindfolded jelly eating competition, a actionary game, a balloon popping game, and a very disgusting food one where all these random ingredients were mixed up in a blender and someone from your team had to drink it!! The ingredients were a little gross, tuna, cold baked beans, lettuce, olives, biscuits and sweet chilli sauce...
Our team were the winners of the night (Red team), closely followed by White team... I must say it all came down to the final food challenge. Luke sculled his "drink" and then went back for seconds! Gross!!
We all had a really great night filled with laughter, and a huge thanks goes to all the leaders, especially the ones who put so much effort into organising it! (Lisa, Sarah, and Toni)... Also a big thank you to Aaron who was as always a great MC!!
We love the great activities the new YW precidency is organising! =D

The winning team! =)

.Home Alone.

Friday, July 10, 2009

Well, my family went out today to celebrate Jory's 6th birthday, but as i am working i couldn't go =(
So, i was home alone with time to fill in before i work... What did i do? I hear you ask... No i didn't throw a massive party =P I decided i needed to be constructive today...

So first things fisrt... I decided not to get dressed =P

Then i exercised my artistic talents and drew
a picture in my art journal...

And then i read my Book of Mormon...

All in all a very productive day =D Now i must go as i am off to dazzle customers with my amazing Check out Chick skills... Fingers crossed they don't notice i'm not wearing my work shoes as i left them out in the rain! =P

.Tiny.

Friday, July 3, 2009

One day at Mutual i expressed a life long desire of having a pet fish... Jayne and Jordan immediately jumped in and insisted that i have Jordan's... I refused but Jayne assured me that he never cleans the tank (which i later realised is true) and he doesn't want it anymore...
So Sunday after church i recieved a phone call from Tayla inviting me for dinner, and Jordan insisting it be the day i collect "my" fish...
So off i headed to the Christies', and after a great meal and some being the guinne pig for tuesday's Young Womens activity (on my behalf) i braced myself and stepped into Jordan's room to see my fish...
The tank was really cool, (and REALLY slimy), and after a few minor spills of water, and an almost throwing of the fish (sorry for the mini heart attack Jayne!) i put my fish in an ice cream container and took him home...
OR so i thought so! We were actually late to a fireside at Bishop's house, so the fish came with us... It was interesing as everytime we turned a corner the fish smacked on the side of the container and Tayla yelled "the fish is dead, the fish is dead!" ... We also took a wrong turn and ended up in Westbury and had to double back! ...
Then it took a LOT of explaining to Sister Kit, that we didn't in fact bring ice cream, but it was a fish... Needless to say she was VERY confused lol...
Anyway, 'Tiny' as Jordan refered to him is now placed very high up in my room (too high for little hands) and is very happy in his new home =) Thank you Jordan for my new fish =) All he needs now is a friend...

Tiny...
